Dragon Hills Golf Club boasts 18 holes of golf which are among the finest in Thailand. The golf course is built on 2400 acres of lush natural mountain greenery. Jim Enge, an American who worked with Nicklaus design, was responsible for producing one of the best layouts in Asia. Usually in wonderful condition this par 72 is a must play for golfers coming to this part of Thailand. It is a one hour drive from Kanchanaburi and although it is 1.5 hrs from Bangkok or Hua Hin, by the end of the day nobody worries and everyone wants to come back.

This fantastic and very remote golf course is set in the middle of valleys and hills. Dragon Hills offers a combination of undulating fairways and greens, lateral water hazards, carries over water, doglegs and strategically located sand traps. Added to this, the scenic background makes for a truly enjoyable round of golf.

The back nine holes are particularly beautiful, as they play through wild life and environmentally preserved park lands. The signature holes are 10, 11, and 12. Hole 12 plays to an island green, downhill about 170 yards. Unusually, there are 3 par 3’s, 3 par 4’s and 3 par 5’s on the back nine, making it a real challenge with no give me’s! The par 4’s and par 5’s play long, with well placed hazards and sloping back to front greens.

A small rustic clubhouse and on site lodge provides ample, but not fancy, facilities and accommodations. In any case, golfers come here for the golf course, one of the best, and a true hidden gem of Thailand!

It is fun & interesting course; narrow valley fareway, green over water, table top green, a lot of waters, etc. Condition is quite good. Nearly as good as best of Chaam/HuaHin golf (Palm Hills, Springfield, etc) or Bangkok.
Quite a supprise.

Play on 7th Feb, the course is well design, but the condition of the course is a total throw away, trust me it is so bad that even keen golfer like myself would wanted to give up, the green is so bad that it is better to chip then to use a putter, don't bother to play

First good signs to the course, easy to follow without any confusion. Fairway is pretty good, but the greens are not that good, too much on top soil, and tee-off needs to be improved. However, the overall rating is acceptable, and definitely good value for money. My group are looking forward to play again real soon.

Played on Sat (20 Aug 05) in the early morning. Good golf course with very challenging layout. If keep maintenance on both fairway and green well, could be championship course. Take about 2 hr from BKK. If you never try, recommended!

Just play yesterday 23/10/05. Fairways are in decent shape. Just don't stray too far from the fairway as rough are long, some area are as long as your knee. Greens are a big disappointment. The layout is good, too bad the conditions are not well taken care of. Direction signs are too small to be seen. It is not worth the trouble to drive there if the condition don't improve. However, if the conditional is up to the level of the design, this course would be a hidden gem.

This is one of the best designed golf courses in Asia. The better player will appreciate the countours and room to hit the ball. However, the condition of the course is lacking at the moment. It is a real shane. Some parts of the fairways were ok. The bunkers were hard packed. Greens slow but palyable. If you want a round of golf on a challenging but fiair course this is the place. Just don't expect it to be a well-groomed and manicured course.
