Loch Palm Golf Club is built around Crystal Lake, the glistening central feature of the course and the largest body of water on any Phuket golf course. Loch Palm has smooth slopes and dramatic elevation changes. It will take you across and around ravines and plateaus that will test your skills at many levels of play.

The front nine sits amid lakes and palm trees. The second nine moves you though mountains, hitting uphill and downhill with woods, irons and even your putter!!

Played midweek, very nice scenic course, hardly anybody else on the course. Greens could be better on some holes but mostly good condition. Discount if you pay by Visa card, very reasonable green fees for Phuket, recommended.

The course was in great condition. The greens were fast and true and so were the fairways. You can also ride the cart striaght to the ball. Caddies were fantastic. Overall, one of the best golfing experiences.

Opposite to B.C.C. in Phuket, this course is better than 5or 6 years ago. It was rainy when we played , view is so beautiful, let us forget the rain. Course conditions were better than before though it rained hard.

Great course but the greens are not in top condition. Hope LP can sort this out sooner rather than later.

We played in Feb '06, and had a wonderful time. The course offered a terrific variety of holes. It has fairly tight driving areas, but not too demanding. the greens were a little rough, but , that seemed to be the case at all the courses in Phuket tis trip. Friendly , helpful caddies made for a very enjoyable day. I will return here on my next trip.

Jan. 2006. Deserves the name. Great place for holiday Golf. Organization of tee-times has to be monitored, when guests reserve a tee-time, it should not be that 4 flights are on the first tee waiting. Tee-Off was 30 min delayed (pick-up by driver was then a problem). However later on speed of play was ok. Recommended, challenge from back tees.

Canuck w/ 11 hcp played on Nov 24th. Greens were sanded, making putts that much more difficult. Would it be too much to expect the sanded greens to be smoothed over? Clubhouse was undergoing renovations. Caddies helpful.

contrary to the previous comment, we found this course very enjoyable a month later. Course is in a good form for the original 18 holes, we also had a good group of caddies who were happy to serve and have a good course knowlege. Only downside is the speed of play by tourists and local members. They let us passed so not too bad! Also tried a newly opened 9 holes (yet to be named), albeit very expensive but probably the best 9 holes in Phuket, or even Thailand!!! Every holes has a postcard appaearance, fantastic by all means.....can't miss..

I've played about ten times over the past three years, whilst on holidays, and it gets better every time. The new nine holes, up in the mountains, off the back pots is a great challenge with awesome scenery. The grass is fairly well established and I cant wait for the next holiday when maybe the other new nine holes will be open.
The booking system and time keeping is a complete disaster, but hey this is Thailand, chill out.

Play on 31-May-07 with special rate. The course is very challenged with good lay-out. Caddy is quite good. Green is tough like normal champion course. Overall is good and it is a must to play if you're a real golfer and having chance to go visit Phuket. Only the price is too high and becomes tradition across all areas there.

Nice course but overpriced. Booked through golfasian.com and got a pretty good deal. Okay caddies and course was undergoing work so some holes weren't up to normal play.

Old 18 is a great layout, lots of variety and unique but still straight-forward. Requires you to hit a lot of different shots. A fun course that has long been one of my favorite courses anywhere. Pace of play is generally very good too even though it gets heavy traffic during high season. That said, I fear that its becoming a bit of a 'golf factory': getting more difficult to get on, green fees keep rising and service has become indifferent (from clubhouse staff and caddies). New 9 holes is now open and looks very interesting (was rained out after two holes), but use of a cart is mandatory on the new 9, the carts must stay on the out-of-the-way cart paths, and of course you are still required to pay for a caddie - what's the point???
