Beautifully landscaped with eucalyptus, bamboo and bushes, the Phoenix Golf and Country Club utilises wooded, rolling terrain on its three nines - - Ocean, Lake and Mountain. Although fairways are narrow, the greens are most spacious and the middle nine is one of the most playable in the kingdom due to its large amount of water hazards. Hole 17 - - a very tough par-four - - dog-legs around the lake and has left some of Asia's most experienced golfers in serious trouble. Excellent clubhouse utilities and a sports complex make this one of the best courses on the Eastern Seaboard.

Another lovely golfcourse with a clubhouse too big, but with excellent facilities. In comparison to most other courses in the area, the fairways are not always that generously wide, but then the rough is not punishing. The greens are often large and undulated. All three loops are good. Caddie I had on Mountain was the worst of my whole stay in Pattaya. She was never on the right place with the bag. Other caddie on Lake/Ocean was OK.

As a member I regret the manner of how the management is running the club. The Course is getting worst, but the mantenance fee has been increased without any announcement. I think this will not help Phoenix C.C. to hold the renomee they just got a few months ago.

This isn't a course I would travel long distances miles to play, but thats probably a reflection on the many other good courses around. As its only a few miles from Pattaya its well worth the trip. It has been improving all the time over the last few years and is now one of the better courses. Its a good course for learners/improvers as its not that punishing and you can usually get a badly hit ball back in play fairly easily. The caddies are hit and miss, some great ones some just learning but overall pretty good. The facilties are as good as anywhere, and they have the best 'hire clubs' around - usually Taylor Mades latest - (maybe not the R7 though)

A very pleasant course, with various difficulties (water, bunker, trees). The club-house is very nice and local staff helps you to spend a very nice time. I really appreciate the 2 bars on the course, being not used to play under such a sun... Pour les francophones : Phoenix Golf est un des plus plaisants de la région de Pattaya, avec un club-house méritant le détour et un 3*9 trous très agréable à jouer (fairways en bon état, variété des trous,...).

One of the best courses in Pattaya aerea! I love hilly courses, and Phoenix is a very interesting course, with wide and hilly fairways, and a good layout. I played mountain and lake course, and fairways and greens are in exellent conditions! I even had a good score :o)

the fairway is very good BUT THE GREEN need a lot of development. The caddy can't tell the right line to putt but she try her best and she is polite. The view is great. In ocean course you can easily see the ocean and in mountain course u can see the moutain surrounding you. The club house is magnificent but the water and food is very expensive. But the worst thing is that i wait to play for 35 min becaz the start don't let you play alone.

Condition of course excellent until you get on the greens. Dont roll true on dying putts and speeds vary from slow to average pace. On 5 occasions of playing this course I havent had a decent caddy, just unlucky I guess! The changing facilities are excellent, not to be faulted, the restaurant food is ok but when you consider the price in comparison with other courses , it is bad value. The last word must go to the starter! How is this person still in a job? Rude, arrogant and definately Farang unfriendly.

One of the best golcourse in regard value for money in the Pattaya Region. Everything is just perfect, fast greens, very good fairways, interesting layout. well maintained, good clubhouse-facilities. I enjoyed it very much! I will be back!

A good and reasonably challenging course. Have played here on 3 occassions over the past 4 months. Unfortunatly they have an extremely rude and arrogant starter. How he manages to keep his job is beyond my comprehension. I and several others will no longer play at Phoenix due to this "gentlemans" unsmiling attitude.Management would do well to review his employment role.

Enjoyable golf course, played over a two day weekend. Excellent club house, good food, beverages expensive by Thai golf club standards. Fairways good , greens fair to good ,very different on our back 9 , Caddies not too good ,or maybe I just got the wrong ones ,personally I only want a caddy to carry the bag ,and in some cases give me distance and if there is trouble in my line. This was even too much for one ,always way behind ,couldn’t give me distance ,even in Thai, after my tee shot then tell me there is water down there ,not too happy. Bunkers ,please tell me what or where the sand comes from ,lost ball in a bunker Humm ,decided day two not to get in the sand. All in all enjoyable course ,nice club house ,with good facilities ,please train the caddies ,and this will ensure all have a good day out.

Good golf course, the management is trying to improve the course all the time. The only complaint I have is the new caddies not getting enough training, and these caddies are pushed to the course to perform. This could be very frustrating.

It is a good course ever visit before. Nice fairways/greens. Clubhouse facilities is perfect. The greens is slightly difficult for the beginner like myself. Caddies are new. They could not say and advise much about the line, that's ok. No complain. I played on 1 July 05. Surely will be back.

Played the course 4 times in Jan 2007. Enjoyed every minute of it. Found the green to be very hard to read, but my great caddy (# 354) thru all 4 rounds, made it much easier. Overall very good service and food.

just played here on Sat 5 May 07, surrounding is OK but fairways are muddy from rain and all greens at Mountain course is just a bit better than greens at Lake Course which are on improving - top soil & coring we played 2 groups ... most of caddy are lazy, talkative & not pay attention to the golfers Once we finished 2 rounds (18 holes) at around 3pm and would like to play another 9 holes at the Ocean course, even the couse is empty from the other golfers, they'll charge us at the full rate as 18-hole cost, so... we decided to stop playing there!

Played two days on an event outing. Greens were irregular as they are top dressing etc. to get ready for the busy season. Fairways were pristine. Excellent caddies, 9 groups of 4, fairly decent speed of play, 4:45 for 18 on the Mountain and Ocean course

I just had a 27 hole round last saturday. all together it was an very good day and my partner even had an 68 for the first 18 holes. The greens was little bit too slowly, but maybe because of all the rain from the day before....... our caddies was very friendly and did a very good job, (379 and 141). next time that I will be back in Pattaya, I will play that course again.
