This picturesque Jack Nicklaus designed championship course is truly one of Thailand's finest. The 27-hole - - Mountain, Lake and Creek nines - - Laem Chabang International Country Club is located in Sri Racha, approximately two hours away form Bangkok and is well worth the visit.

The rolling hills of the surrounding countryside have been used to great effect, and hazards to stop you reaching the large elevated greens are in abundance. Not only does the course have a lot of bunkers, sand traps and water hazards, there is also a lot of natural hazards in the shape of exposed rock formations, lakes, ponds and creeks. Excellent clubhouse facilities and accommodation superbly complement all of this.

Simply the best I have seen in Thailand. The course was in a super. "Just try it, and for sure you will love it". Only one 'negative' thing.......it's not located in Bangkok.

I played on Dec 29. I feel this course is overvalued by this website. I could find many courses which is similar grade to this course. I agree that it's one of nice courses around pattaya, but this one doesn't seem to be one of the best in Thailand.

Very intersting design, good challenge to all levels of golfers.Fairway grass not so healthy but greens putt better than they look,New bunker sand is shocking, stick to the old firm stuff.Restaurant band is pure cheese, what are you thinking! Potentially the best course and resort in Thailand but a long way to go.Well worth a game though, good value sport day Tue+Thur.

This is my second time to play the course in a 3 year span. The course is just as good as I remember it two years ago. everyone in the group loved the course and thought it was a great value. Caddies may be the best i have had in Thailand. Did not eat here but seem to remember the food being good. If you are in this area play this course. pricey with respect to other area golf courses but worth the value.

Since everybody was talking about Laem Chabang i wanted to see for myself how good the golfcourse is! Well, it's a very nice golfcourse, very interesting, but too expensive with the compulsory golfcards and caddyfee 3'300 Baht on weekdays. I will not play there anymore. I think Rayong Green Valley and Phoenix is almost as good and you can play 3 rounds in Rayong for the price you pay in Laem Chabang. Maintenance of the course is terrific, and the scenery breathtaking, but i wonder why they make golfcards compulsory. I'm a single Hdcp.7, i hate to play with golfcards. A big part of golf is walking the golfcourse and enjoy the scenery. I just hope that the other golfcourse in the pattaya region are not following with compulsory golfcards!!, like in USA!!? I'm sure it's just a matter of money and business why they introduce golfcarts!

Played B-C combo on 4/3. Best of the eight courses I played while in Thailand. Don't miss this one when in the area.

Best course in the region I feel you can do no better in Pattaya region. Caddies are helpful without being in your face and are a god send to read those tricky puts when in need. A1 cannot reccomend highly enough.

I played here 5 times,I still think it's the best course in Thailand, even in Asia. We stayed 1 night and played 18 holes, and had dinner and breakfast, it's worthy.

We were 2 flights comprising of golfers from Spore, and fellow friends from Thailand. Of the 3 courses that we played on this golfing holiday, Laem Chabang (LC) was Tops! Unfortunately it rained quite heavily during our first 6 holes, and then there was a big private tournament on that resulted in we being pushed around a bit. However we managed to play all 27 holes. Jack Nicklaus has done a superb job in design the course - all 27 holes have their own unique design and challenges. Fairways were well kept (rough are really tough to get out of!), and the greens were in excellent condition. The course has lots of slopes and undulations, and lots and lots of water! You better bring lots of balls with you if you choose to play at LC. The Valley course is the most difficult, challenging and a pleasure to play. Even though I did not play well I thoroughly enjoyed the day at LC. Highly Recommended; MUST play if you are golfing in Bangkok/Pattaya. In my humble opinion, LC is as good as, if not better than the more popular Blue Canyon course in Phuket.

After playing Mountain Shadow the day before where we had a disaster this course was just pure delight. Really could not fault anything. We were 9 players and each one thought it was the second best course we had ever played in Thailand after Royal Rachaburi. Would love to be a member at such a great course !!

The first couse I visit in Thailand. I think it is the best beautiful course in Thailand. Every hole named with a flower, made me felt like in Augusta. play at black tee is more difficult, more challenging, if you drived on fairway, you will get reward. Green fees rises about 1.5 times, but compare to Thai, B.C.C. in PHUKET, it is undervalue.

This is my 3 rd visit at LCB golf club. Well maintained. Excellent golf course. The caddy , nickname "CHA" is very cheerful, experiened and accurate on yardage. Unfortunately, buggy is compulsory. Caddy is one per person. Miss the fun walking on the fairway and chat with my friends during play.

Three truly beautiful 9's, in particular the Valley course, of which the first five (off the blue tees)are as good as anything I've played anywhere. Difficult to fault apart from compulsory carts, but despite being busy, speed of play was good. Try finding an equivalent course elsewhere for this money. Can't wait to return.

I just finished my round and must say this course is one of the more scenic courses I have played. The construction going on next to the course and along the road caused a bit of frustration.

in november 2006 i was less than enthused by this course. in april 2007 i can confirm my lack of enthusiasm. i first played the valley nine then the mountain nine. the first nine fairways were terrible, the same wispy grass on bare topsoil, the second nine was better. the greens are average on both nines. this course is very overated. VERY. there is nothing wrong with the design although it is not one of jack's best..... but do something about the lack of grass on the fairways!

As always I enjoy this course, it's pricey but is always in very good condition. Agree that this is one of Jack's best layouts and is a good but fair challenge for all golfers. It's nice to eat in the restaurant and take in the views after the game.

Don't understand how come the rating is so good. Grass of Fairway are very yellow and THIN, many divots haven't repaired, DISAPPOINTED!!! All Greens are quite slow and many repaired area on green, can't read line!!! My caddy is quite friendly. Clubhouse ok, however, restaurant waiter is unfriendly, persuade us to have lunch buffet, Food still ok, charge BHT320++ each. Overall very disappointed for a course with so high rating and GREEN FEE IS VERY EXPENSIVE!!!!! Not value for Money...

Have to say Im another dissapointed golfer. No idea why this course gets the lofty ratings. Fairways are good if u need to practice ur bunker shots- they have more sand than grass on them. greens are wooley and slow. There are many courses in bkk cheaper and better quality than this place (bangkok golf club, Green Valley etc etc). Not worth the 2hr drive from bkk to play unfort.

We live in a condo here on the course, I hardly ever play here, 1 expensive for what it is, 2 Better courses avail (green valley, bang pra) Would suggest that this course is missed in preference to finding other courses half the price, (carts are compulsory) As for the course itself its in quite good condition, and is a fair challenge to a golfer (10hcp here) Quite attractive scentically, would play it once but that would be enough.

This is one of those OMG courses you occasionally find. Beautiful scenes assault you on everyhole (occasionally some construction gets in the way, but that is growth). If you only can play two courses in this area, this should be one of them. Caddies were the best we had of 6 courses we played over 6 days.
