Played here in October 2004. Not very well keept, with dry and brown fairways, bumpy greens and terrible conditions. I talked to the green- keeper, who was a friendly chap, and he said they were preparing for the high season... To bad, because this is not good enough... Very good layout, with hilly, rolling fairways, and also a challenging course. To bad I'm not going back for the high season...

We stayed at Waterford Resort for eight nights beginning of February 2006 and liked it very much. We played the course 5 times. Nice staff, excellent rooms for the money (first night 3500 Baht, following nights 1700 Baht, 800 Baht green fee if you stay at the resort on WD and 1200 for the WE). Caddies were o.k. and course well maintained, but did not reach fully Santibury level. On WD very quiet, nearly no Koreans. Can recommend the north od Thailand very much for the better climate conditions to play golf compared to the south.

it's a spectacularly beautiful and tough course good for big hitters except that the greens are very small and your on-shot has to be accurate. I played Waterford and Santiburi on the same weekend in June 2006 and found Waterford to be much superior to the over-hyped and over-sold Santiburi which could do with a little bit of drainage technology. If you go to W get a cart. This course was not designed with walkers in mind.
