Santiburi Country Club is the golf course with 18 holes developed outside Chiang Rai town and it takes about 20 minutes to reach the course from the city of Chiang Rai by car. The 18 holes designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. spread out a vast fields in a good placement of holes with water hazards and bunkers. Players can enjoy the exciting holes with undulating fairways and greens in a quiet condition and they are satisfied with a good maintenance of the golf course.

Again, the Santiburi group know what they are doing! This is how a golfcourse should be! Very nice fairways, fast greens, and bunkers with sand from Chaweng beach :o) Very good! Caddies were helpful, good service and challenging course!

If there is a heaven on earth it must be named Santiburi.I have been coming to Thailand for the last three years and this is the best golf course I have played in the country. I have played golf courses all over the US and this one ranks in the top 5 of all of the courses I have played

I played this course in Dec and was very impressed with it. The fairways were well maintained and the greens were thru in the lines read. The course layout is very good. Roughs are difficult but fair to me. I highly recommend this course to those intending to golf in Chiangrai.

The course is perfect from the first T-off untill the last hole green. Very well maintain, required a good game plan. Played on December 22-23, I totally enjoy playing there. No wonder it was highly regards as top 5 golf course in Thailand.

A very beautiful and well maintained course indeed. A Must Play course if one is golfing up in northern Thailand. Starter was rude and impatient, and his supervisor/manager (lady) was no better. We also encountered a large group of golfers from Bangkok that were unruely and discourteous.

Played this course two times last week. Tuesday is sports day, green fee 800 Baht. Liked it very much, so it is not too difficult and speed of play is rather slow on sports day.

Good golf couse. You must try once in your life. Expensive green fee and good for the value of your money. However, not recommend during this July-October 2006, there are 3 greens in renovation (use temporary green, bad condition). Use to be the best golf couse in the North, but now it's beaten by Cheing Mai Highland. But, try this couse anyway. PS : Sportday is on Tuesay 800 Baht is very good for your money (not 1600 Baht on weekday ... to expensive)
