Opening in 1993, the Royal Lakeside Golf Club located at the mouth of the Bangpakong River features beautiful surroundings, with a profusion of shrubs and flowers. The riverside setting ensures for cool breezes throughout the day and golfing enjoyment is enhanced by the beautiful surrounding. A unique feature of the golf course is that there is the private marina for yachts wanting to dock in the area. Members can enter the golf course from the Yacht Club which makes it possible to reach the golf course by boat from Bangkok or Pattaya.

Some holes run right along the Bangpakong river banks. From the white tees the course gives the average handicap golfer the chance to make a few pars, especially on the par-three holes. The greens are fast and true and the fairways and bunkers are always kept in immaculate condition. Often strong winds from the sea provide a special dimension for the game.

The center piece of the resort is a stunning white clubhouse. Two excellent Japanese and Thai restaurants make for a nice choice of fine dining after a round.

We went to play on 24 Aug 06 because this one of the golf course vary good with the win. We arrive about 1 PM and we didn’t see too many player there and after play first hole than we know why nobody play here. All the green still on maintenance half of the green have top soil and another half do have the grass with too many hold on it, every time we approach to the green than we need to find the drop area for putting and this is very bad. First I through will happen only in 9 but when we play out 9 the green exactly the same. This is vary disappointed after drive for 1 hour to play there and see the condition like this what a waste of time. Also due to less people play they did open only one halfway house to sell the drink you can imagine to play 18 holes but have only one stop. I think if they want to maintenance than better to close rather than open the course with condition like this. I’m recommend try to not be there at less one month from now.

Played 22 July; tee off 12:30; not crowded, course very well maintained; challenging bunker placement, constant breeze made for good temperature; would play it again; very enjoyable

Busy at weekends, but marshalls were smart enough to allow us to continue play at a different hole and return later to finish the skipped holes. Nice course, flat with a lot of sand traps. Caddies a bit disinterested, but ok. Bring the mosquito repellent if playing after 4pm.

It was busy when the day I played on this course. greens are now very good & pretty fast. Too many mostiques on this course, strongly suggest to have something prepared if you want to enjoy the game. food in the club house is really not tasty to me; locker room is a bit old, too.

I have played this course a number of times now and it is always in good condition no matter which season we are in. It was build for anyone with a natural left to right game (for right handers) as most water hazards are on your left. Caddies are usually very good and can read the green very well. Overall I would say a great day out excellent value for money.
